FRIEDMAN’S

UWS / MIDTOWN / CHELSEA / LES / +

This all gluten-free restaurant in NYC is your one stop shop. With multiple locations in NYC, it’s the perfect go-to for your GF restaurant list. There are so many yummy options. The brunch is fantastic, and I love a GRILLED CHICKEN SWISSWICH moment for lunch (bacon jam, gruyere, lettuce, avocado aioli, ciabatta, with a side of herb fries.) Everything there is delicious, and you don’t have to worry about contamination. Plus the restaurant environment is aesthetically charming, and clean. Just go eat there already.

Several locations ^

MODERN BREAD & BAGEL

MB&B is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, on Columbus Ave between 82nd and 83rd. This gluten-free/ kosher bakery is the culprit of making a delicious breakfast sandwich that will taste close to the real thing. I’d order the bacon egg and cheese, but note* it’s not real bacon- it’s vegan bacon, but still very tasty. Try the cookies and the zucchini bread- so moist. There’s a ton on the menu I have yet to try, but everything looks promising!

TENZAN SUSHI

UWS / UES / MIDTOWN

I love this sushi spot on the Upper West side (specifically because they offer a Salmon avocado roll with COOKED salmon, which is my personal favorite.) They have so many options, AND offer GLUTEN FREE SOY SAUCE. I also enjoy a cold refreshing glass of Rosé with my meal, and it doesn’t get much better than that.

PEACE FOOD CAFE

UWS / UNION SQUARE

Peace Food Cafe is an all vegan restaurant, with gluten free options. My favorite is the fluffy quinoa salad

(onion, avocado, sprouts, corn, sweet pepper, spring greens, mustard lime vinaigrette) AND the double chocolate cookie- seriously so moist and yummy.

The UWS location is right next to the Library… so if you’re feeling like having a Carrie Bradshaw moment, check out a book and each lunch alone with a beautifully crafted latté as you dramatically flip the pages of some brilliant literature.

DOS CAMINOS

SOHO/ MEATPACKING/ FLATIRON

Great Mexican restaurant with multiple locations in the city. They have Gluten Free Options* which are labeled on the menu which is super helpful. Not every restaurant explicitly does this. The tacos are amazing, and the guac is a must! I recommend the Prickly Pear Margarita. The Soho location is great for sitting outside on the patio while you stare at passer-by’s and stuff your face with guacamole… oh, just me? Alright then, moving on.

EGG SHOP

SOHO / GREEN POINT

(Brunch)

HELLO YUM. Your non gluten-free friends will thank you for taking them here for brunch. The menu is stacked with some really solid options, and you can get everything on a gluten free bun. If you get a sandwich on a gluten-free bun, just know that it will be smaller in size to the other glutinous options, so just make sure to get a side of hash browns and bacon to fill you up If you’re as hungry as I am on a Saturday morning at noon O’clock.

DELLAROCCOS

in Brooklyn Heights:

THE BEST GLUTEN FREE PIZZA I SWEAR - If it’s not the best, you and I can personally and publicly have a feud about it. In addition to having figured out the best way to make gluten-free crust taste like the real thing…They also have yummy salads and dessert pizza- yes, you heard me…. DESSERT PIZZA with Nutella and strawberries and everything magical. If you eat here, you’re also signing up for a great walk in the neighborhood with a gorgeous view, and a promenade lined with many benches which you might find convenient for some occasional resting if you eat as much as I do at this restaurant. As I am typing this… I am secretly thinking of deleting this blurb and saving the dough for myself, because once people realize this place is THE place for gluten-free pizza… Dellaroccos might get even more busy which would complicate things for me. That being said, if you plan on going to Dellaroccos, save me a slice, invite me, or get lost. Thanks!

BY THE WAY BAKERY

UWS / UES

By the way, have you heard of this bakery? Filled with yummy Gluten free, dairy free, and kosher treats? Honestly, everything here is delicious, I love their little bundt cakes! You can also never go wrong with a gluten free chocolate chip cookie! :)

I will keep adding more to the list!

DM me or email me if you have a place you want me to try!
